If you are new here to the season and Self Blood podcast is something that we do every day Monday through Friday. Well, we just come and we ground ourselves first before we get into the topic in hand. And today we're talking about the affirmation of I cultivate a grateful heart by acknowledging the blessings in my life every day. You see, cultivating a grateful heart is more than just a practice. It's a transformational journey that enriches our lives deeply. So by acknowledging the blessings that we encounter daily, we can significantly enhance our well being and strengthen our self love. So by practicing gratitude, we have a significant impact on our overall wellbring and it can bring about a positive invariate aspect of our lives. So what I want to do right now, I want to share with you as some insights that can impact of gratitude of our well being. One positive emotions. Expressing gratitude helps to cultivate positive such as joy, happiness, and contentment, and it shifts our focus away from negative thoughts and enhances one overall mood and our next one and has improved relationships. Gratitude fosters feelings of appreciation and connection, leading to stronger and more fulfilling relationships with others. And it promotes empathy, kindness and understanding and interactions. You know, for me, it truly gratitude and it's helped me so much. And the thing is, I had wanted to share with you know a story later on in this show. But when when I sit here and I read number two and it's about improved relationships, and it really does for me, And let me tell you why. It's because now when I have conversation and communicate with people and talk with people and meet new people or even bring you know new people inside my circle or whatever like that. I appreciate for the moment that they're there, how long or how short they are in my life, I appreciate them because whether I've learned something, whether it's good or bad in a sense of someone else eyes, but if I learned something, it has always been a plus and a win for me. To see what I learned with gratitude also is that it's given me empathy and compassion for others. And also understanding that everybody that we are not all not at the same growth level, we are not at the same growth speed, and I understand that. So now with me understanding what gratitude is or where I came from, how much I've grown spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, that now when I have conversations with people that is different. There is no anger or hate in that, There is no reason in that. If anything, there is truly empathy in it. And really I do understand why you may think or you may feel a certain way, But I see growth. I see growth within myself, I see growth in other people, and so for me, I mean when I tell you that gratitude. It helps, It does, it truly helps. Another one that says a physical health Research has shown that practicing gratitude is linked to improve physical health outcomes that can lower stress level, strengthen the immune system, and reduce symptoms of illness. Also, it can help with mental health. Gratitude can have a positive impact on mental health by reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and increasing resilience to life challenges. It helps shifts perspective towards a more optimistic outlook, and it enhances your well being. Cultivating a grateful mindset can lead to an overall sense of well being and life satisfaction and encourage individuals to focus on what they have rather than what they lack, and promoting a sense of abundance and fulfillment. It can increase resilience. Gratitude enhances resilience by helping individuals cope with adversity and bounce back from setbacks. It encourages a growth mindset and that ability to to find civil linings even in challenging situations. So overall, integrating gratitude practices into our daily life can lead to a range of positive outcomes for once well being, both mentally and physically. So by acknowledging and appreciate the blessings in life, individuals can experience greater happiness, fulfillment, and resilience in the face of life's ups and downs. So as we navigate through April, let's draw inspiration from the renewal around us and to foster a sense of gratitude within. So I love to share with you on how practicing gratitude has made a profound impact on my journey towards self love. Now, as I mentioned before, it truly has strengthened my relationships with others, whether they are new in my life or not. But the one thing is that I realize is that when I get up every morning, that I am so very happy that I am able to wake up and have and have all of my senses, that I know where I'm at, that I'm not of any confusion. I can look over to my mom's room and see that is a sign of gratitude, knowing that she is here on this earth with me, my children, my baby. Even the people that has come around me new friendships, new relationships, even the old ones that were able to stand the time with me my life period. I have many chapters to my life, many amazing chapters to my life, and I am so very gracious for them all. And so when I sit here and I say about gratitude in my life, how I I'm thankful for them every day I am Because if once I write a book and I would give my story to somebody and better yeat, just somebody just looking at my cover and judging me from the cover of my book, they said I would have either been in jail, dead or on drugs, and ain't neither, cause I'm sitting here talking to you now. So I'm very grateful for all everything, all the opportunities that I've had, all of my ups and downs, because I look at them as all as learning lessons and tools for my life. Today it was funny. I'm gonna share this. I had a conversation with one of my cousins the other day and she had called me and she was saying that she was doing some spring cleaning. So she was looking through some books and files and she was trying to see, you know what books she was gonna throw away and stuff like that. And she was looking through this book. It was forty days and forty nights, forty days and forty Nights The Guide to your Self Discovery Journey. And she said she remembered the book, but she did she didn't remember writing inside of the book. And she said as she was reading the book, she said she this was she had got the book. And I told the tenth October tenth, two thousand and thirteen. I believe it was two thousand and thirteen. And she said, she, you know, had written in her book. She had said, she had written quite a few things. She has said that she felled her most strongest when she is by herself and she is just her and God. You know, that's where she's more creative, when she's able to read her Bible and have her relationship with God and speak to him. And she said, you know, she felt better like that alone than in a relationship with someone else. And so I know she has she had been going through a situation. She's divorced now and she has two three handsome excuse me, three handsome young sons, and she takes care of her nieces and nephews. She's like a manti or yeah, a manty, a mother auntie, and she takes care of all of them. But she's found herself trying to find a relationship with someone, a man who will be there for her. She thought she just needed one. And why she thought she needed one because a pastor for one of my aunt's church had made a statement in a I don't want to get I'm just gonna generalize it what he said. He said that that for a woman to be successful, and I'm just I'm not taking word for word, but this is what she told me, is that she needs to be coveted, and to her knowledge that she needs to be coveted by a man for her to be able to be successful in God's eyes or whatever, so her life to be well. And I said, well, what if this the covenant is of God, it has nothing to do with a man. What if it's your relationship with God? And it was some other things that she was saying in that in twenty thirteen, and it said that she that you know, she wanted to really you know, have her own business. So literally, in twenty thirteen, she literally wrote everything out for her future of what she wanted, her manifestation throughout that whole time and for these past few ten years, oh god, ten years she has been going through trying to find someone who would love her for who she is because of what someone else says. So why I'm sharing this with you is that just her story alone helped me to be very gracious of my journey. And why I say that is because even talking with her, how often that we talk, that's like my sister. She's my cousin, but she's like my sister, and we share our stories. I remember late nights I used to be on the phone and she's talking to me and we're talking to each other about our situations and whatever like that. And I am so gracious that the love and the trust is so strong that she share her story with me, knowing that I have this podcast, and I tell her sometimes I never give her name, but I say sometimes I share our stories. I share our stories. I share those stories, you know, because they are so relatable to other people, you know. But also I am so gracious to be able to go through this with you, to watch you in your realization of things, and I am grateful for that. Me being grateful is another part of my my personal is to be able to tell loved ones that I am so grateful for them to be in in my life because not only have you been here with me for me, but also you've taught me things. We've taught each other things, and we learn from each other, and we're now watching each other grow and blossom into these beautiful goddesses that we always be in. And it's amazing when you watch someone that you love that other people have counted these people out, and you watch how they grow, how they get out the dirt this beautiful woman has. She's going in to get her doctorate degree soon, but she has three degrees and she still be stepping and doing her thing. And I'm gracious that I am have the privilege to watch her go through that, to stand there and hold her hands, and nights when she cries, she calls me and we cry together. So when I say about strengthening my relationships, because then I can sit and I can listen, and I can have empathy and I can understand and that it won't come from a judgment of places, because I understand what I went through in life. So yeah, that's I want to just share that little piece of job, share that little piece with y'all. I want to get too too deep, But for me, that's what gratitude has helped for me, and that's why I wanted to share this affirmation and how it affects me in my life, and that maybe you can take this affirmation and dissect it down and see where it you know, in your life, so then you can start taking daily daily gratitude for yourself using this affirmation or better yet, building on you in your own you know, gratitude affirmation. All right, all right, so let's take a quick break and then we come back. We'll get a little deeper in it, all right, it's your gurty God.
